David Hatch is a Zone Coach, specializing in assisting CEOs, CMOs and CROs at B2B technology firms to establish, grow and optimize their marketing teams and performance. In addition to his ‘Zone’ work, David hones his chops every day as Founder and Principal Consultant at CMO in Residence, where he provides his services as a “fractional CMO” to clients. David is also currently serving as a member of the Executive Alumni Advisory Board for the UMass-Amherst Department of Communication where he was the inaugural chair from 2013-2016, and from which he holds a B.A. degree (’88).
David’s career has spanned over 25 years within roles as a technologist, marketing executive, market analyst, and business leader within the information management industry. Prior to becoming a Zone Coach, David was CMO at Earley Information Science, CMO at the Institute for Applied Network Security (IANS), Executive Vice President, Technology Market Solutions for Harte Hanks, and SVP/GM of Aberdeen Group, a leading market research firm based in Boston, MA. David has also held roles as Vice President, Marketing at Dimensional Insight, a data analytics software provider, and management positions with three prominent IT market research firms – Giga Information Group, Ovum and Current Analysis.
David started his career in television, as assistant producer and director of Red Sox, Bruins, The Bean Pot, and several other live and recorded broadcasts aired on WSBK-TV in Boston, MA.
